Poetry

This page includes short poetry written to explore emotion, memory, and personal moments. Each poem is designed to be brief, reflective, and accessible.

You didn't ask

You didn't ask, so I kept quiet

You didn't mind, so I kept on going

You didn't lean in, so I didn't touch you

You didn't cry, so neither did I

You didn't love me, but I never stopped

Becoming

As I cross the threshold to a new world, the echo of her voice whispers.

You are stronger than the girl who played with the Bluebells. You are wiser than the girl who cried over the outbursts of others. You are softer than the girl who screamed in glass houses. Own your beginning and embrace your becoming.

Never for them

Children’s eyes sparkle from glistening lights

Songs dance in the cold where frosty air bites

Silver and white representing the snow

Yet in treacherous weathers where will they go?

Colours of riches, red, green and gold

Tis the season of wealth, wasteful items are sold

A generous time where we offer and give

To the big cooperation’s you’ll never outlive

A time for families yet we argue and fight

Can we lock up our rancor if just for one night

With so many gifts, sentiments lost

As she clutches her blanket protecting from frost

A time for giving a time to be kind

When departing with cash who enters your mind

A season for love or just to condemn?

A wonderful season but never for them!

So wrap up your loved ones with kisses and love

Smile at the memories of those up above

Be present in moment’s embrace how you live

Let kindness to all be the gift that you give!
